Correlation or coincidence?

The topic I am about to discuss is one that we discussed in Mr. Reeder’s intro to mass communications class.

Do video games, particularly violent ones, cause individuals to be violent?

Video games are very prevalent in our society, and not everyone monitors the kinds of games their children play.

People have so many different opinions on this. Most people who play video games say that it doesn’t. But from an outsider view I disagree.

You can see the anger or rage when someone is playing an intense game and something goes wrong. It may just be temporary though. I think that is where the true debate comes in.

I really think it is based on personality and predispositions as to whether or not that anger and rage carries on past the game and into real life.
